The Exchange Library offers guests the opportunity to sit in tranquil surroundings to enjoy the pleasures of a good book. Alternatively, select a book from our shelves to read in the privacy of your own room, while sitting by the pool, or just to carry with you for when you are sitting in one of the many pavement restaurants of Oaxaca.

Our exchange facility means that, if you brought a book with you, have finished reading it, and are looking for something to read, you can remove a book from our library, replace it with the one you brought, and take the "borrowed" book away with you.

We have a good selection of novels, murder, mystery, suspense, romance, adventure, and, not for exchange, many books on Mexico in general and of Oaxaca in particular. The local daily paper and a good selection of international magazines are also available.

On a pleasant winter's evening, after a gourmet meal in our restaurant, you can retire to the library and sit by the fire to enjoy a good book. A wonderful way to bring to a close another beautiful day in Oaxaca.

If your reading needs exceed the capacity of our hotel library, short term membership of the local (not-for-profit)  Oaxaca Lending Library is available, with access to over 30,000 books in both English and Spanish (and a few in French and German).
